Electric Light Show

So, lately I have been pining for Disneyland. I have only been there once, where I have been to DWorld quite a few times. However, my current leanings towards Dland is because I just found out that they are showing an updated version of the Main Street Electrical Parade at Disney's California Adventure.

I loooove the electric parade. I was super young when I saw it, but I remember the vivid colors like it was yesterday. No other Disney parade I have seen even comes close (Even the one I was in!). I guess I could also go see it TokyoDisneyland which would be the best trip ever, don't you think? Sadly, I think I'll get to California a lot faster than to Tokyo!

What was your favorite parade? Did you love the electric like I did??

Laugh O Gram building

So what have we been up to lately? Well, the usual really. You know, trying to raise money, dreaming of Disneyworld, geeking out on Alice in Wonderland and telling everyone and their dog about the historical significance of the Laugh O Gram building.

The building! I'm happy to report that it is safe and sound and waiting (patiently) for us to raise a slew of money so we can build out the inside. (hint hint) Last spring we got a bunch of artistic volunteers to help us cheer up the building (and keep it safe) by painting some original "Disney" Laugh-O-Gram characters on it..would you like to see?

More to come soon! And by soon, I mean next week, not next year!

To all those who come to this happy place-

Welcome!

And thank you for joining our Thank You Walt Disney blog- it is a really exciting time right now for TYWD, as we are on the precipice of a new phase of our restoration of the Laugh-O-Gram building. After many years of hard work we have stabilized the outer building, gutted and stabilized the inside of the building and the roof should be finished sometime this Spring. Then the fun can really begin as we start construction on the inside of the building and planning the programs for the museum and animation education center.

We've started this blog so fans of our efforts can keep up to date on the latest TYWD news. We have events and auctions planned (more on those later!) and as we move along in the planning of the building we want you to come along with us on this exciting ride.
